The Western District St. Vincent de Paul Conferences in Shreveport and Bossier “sprinted” into action to help with the September 4, 2020 emergency assistance provided to the Diocese of Lake Charles as part of Bishop Malone’s Diocesan Hurricane Laura Relief Campaign. This was truly a Shreveport Diocesan effort that spoke to the mission of The Society of St. Vincent de Paul – disaster emergency assistance of critical items needed in the devastated Lake Charles area, bottled water and tarps of all sizes. Thank you to Loyola’s basketball team for providing the manpower for unloading and loading the items on the trucks carrying the donated items to Lake Charles.
