The Society of St. Vincent de Paul sponsored another moving journey through downtown Shreveport on Good Friday with the Stations of the Cross focusing on Christ’s Passion and our need to be aware of the suffering of others.  Bishop Francis Malone opened the walk, and many helped carry the cross that gave a visible reminder of Christ’s Passion.

On Good Friday in 2025, Bishop Francis I. Malone and Corey Arcement, SVdP Diocesan President, began the annual Stations of the Cross Walf for Justice in Downtown Shreveport.  During the over one-mile walk, each stop reflected on the Passion of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the present suffering in our world today.
Many participants helped carry a wooden cross during the Good Friday Stations while meditating on Christ’s suffering and reflecting on the injustice and suffering in our own Shreveport/Bossier City communities.
